Indoor Playing Rules
Time Limit/Run Rules
Pool Play 60 minute drop dead.
- If Winner needed, the score reverts one full inning, except for if the home team is up to bat when time runs out. In that case, the score stands as is. If the game is tied after time runs out while home team is batting or after reverting one full inning if visitors were up when time ran out, then use tiebreakers below.
- If winner not needed, the score reverts one full inning, except for if the home team is up to bat when time runs out. In that case, the score stands as is. If the game is tied after time runs out while home team is batting or after reverting on full inning if visitors were up when time ran out, then it is declared a tie game.
Tiebreakers
- First team to score in a full inning.
Bracket Play 60 minute finish the inning
- Higher seed will be home team. If teams are same seed then a double flip is done. This process will continue through Championship Game. Winner Bracket team is Home team in Championship
- After 3 extra innings a coin Flip (Double Flip) determines winner.
- USSSA Indoor Sudden Death Rules (extra innings)
- Bases Loaded with last 3 completed at bats on bases (1stcompleted on 1b, 2ndcompleted on 2b, and 3rdcompleted on 3b)
- 2-1 count on batter and 2 outs
- Absent player is not an automatic out as far as placement on bases prior to start of ITB. Team will go to the next player in place of absent one. Absent player will still be an automatic out in the course of play when 9th position in batting order comes up.

Field Rules
FIELD RULES
- Any batted ball that hits the ceiling is a live ball and may be caught for an out.
- Foul Balls:
- Foul Balls caught off of the ceiling are an out.
- Foul balls that hit the back or side net are no longer in play. It is a dead ball
- Extra Base Net Markers:
- Batted balls must hit the HR markers in the air to be awarded them. You cannot catch the ball off of them for an out. Play is dead and batter advances to the awarded base.
- Any batted ball that hits the net in any other place besides HR (grounder or fly ball) is live, but cannot be caught off the net for an out. Played as a grounder.

Northern Indiana USSSA reserves the right to alter or modify or make rulings that are not particularly covered in these rules and regulations, or that management concurs are necessary to conduct the ongoing business. All GLSP/Northern Indiana USSSA management decisions are final.

Please respect all participants, parents, directors, coaches, umpires, rules, and employees of USSSA/Great Lakes Sports Productions and the facility so that all may enjoy the game. Unsportsmanlike conduct and disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. (See our Zero Tolerance Policy) We will create a great environment for the people that just want to enjoy the games. We truly are dedicated to this.
No credit/refunds are given on entry fees or deposits less than 2 weeks from the event's start date or after the schedule is released. If an event and or age division fills before 2 weeks of the event, we will ask for entry fees asap to hold spots. Teams that have not paid the entry fee by the deadline will be dropped for a waitlist team.
If we can split divisions into classes and odd years, we will do so based on having the entries to do so. We may combine divisions as needed as well based on entries
Schedules will be released by Monday evening before the event. Circumstances may arise where schedules could be delayed.

Check-in: Please bring a copy of your insurance and any unpaid fees to the Event Director. Please have Birth Certificates and/or IDs on hand in case of protest. Please check in at least a half-hour before the start of your 1st game. Check-in is generally at the Director/Apparel table

Below is some important information.
Doors will open one hour prior to the first game. No sooner
Games can start as early as 30 minutes prior to scheduled game time. The first game of the day could start 15 minutes early. Be prepared.
All pool games are 60-minute Drop dead. Brackets are 60-minute finish the inning
CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES ARE WINNER TAKE ALL (NO IF GAMES)
No Home Run Balls indoors
No molded or metal cleats
No outside food or drink allowed
No Grilling on the property
No animals are allowed
No smoking is allowed near the entrances of the building.

Seeding for 4 team pools
Teams in 4 team pools 2nd pool game will be either winners vs winners game for the 1 and 2 seeds or losers vs losers game for the 3 and 4 seeds. The Word doc with pool play is at the bottom of the event info page online.
Refund/Credit Policy
GLSP/Northern Indiana USSSA Credit/Refund Policy
Refunds on entry fees will be given on entry fees or deposits for teams dropping 2 weeks or more from the start date of the event. Entry fees must be paid in full 2 weeks from the start date of the event or the team will be dropped.
Entry fees are non-refundable 2 weeks from the start date of an event. Teams will receive credit for a future event with Northern Indiana USSSA. Credit issued does not apply to future National events. Credit is transferable (by the listed team coach only) to another team in writing. Only one team credit can be used per entry. Credit may be used for the next future season (1 Year max) if the team cannot compete or transfer credit during the current year season.
***Note, if an event does not make it due to a lack of teams (less than 3), teams will receive a full refund instead of credit unless the team has an unpaid event in the current season. In that case, funds will be transferred.
***Note, unplayable games, inclement weather, power outages, or other acts of nature, vandalism, or acts out of our control: teams will receive a refund instead of credit unless the team has an unpaid event in the current season or wants us to hold credit. In that case, funds will be transferred appropriately.

Individual gate fees are non-refundable.
A team withdrawing from an event must give a minimum of a 2-week notice prior to the start date of the event to receive a full refund instead of a credit. A team withdrawing from a SOLD OUT division in an event will not receive a refund unless the event director can fill the spot that your team was occupying.

Zero Tolerance Policy
Northern Indiana USSSA/Great Lakes Sports Productions Zero Tolerance Policy
We are issuing no warnings to parents/fans. EJECTIONS ONLY. Once ejected, it will be for the weekend.
The player of the ejected is reserved to the dugout for the remainder of the event. The ejected parent/fan is ejected from the facility for the remainder of the event.
Coach ejections - Coaches that are ejected will be ejected from the game plus two more games. The player of the coach will be reserved to the dugout for the same amount of time
Parents should limit their participation to that of positive encouragement. Negative cheering and unsportsmanlike behavior toward other teams, umpires, fans, players, and/or coaches will not be allowed. Steps will be taken to achieve the right environment for everyone involved if necessary.
Parent/Fan Ejections
· Players/Parents/Spectators: Any Cussing, bashing, berating, or belittling of an official, a staff member, a player, a coach, or other fans will result in them being removed from the complex.
· Excessive arguing/yelling at an official over balls/strikes and calls on the field will result in them being removed from the complex
· If you approach an official or staff member off the field or off the property in a volatile and/or demeaning way, you will not be allowed to stay or back into the facility.
· Any parent/fan ejected will have one minute to leave the premises or their team will forfeit the game.
· If a parent/fan is ejected and refuses to leave in one minute will result in their team forfeiting the current game and the authorities will be called
Coach Ejections
· Any coach ejected will have one minute to leave the premises or their team will forfeit the game.
· Any coach that threatens an umpire or any other staff member will be possibly suspended for a minimum of 1 year and we will contact other associations.
· Coaches will be ejected immediately without warning if A. They use profanity B. They put their hands on an official C. The umpire feels threatened in any way.
· Excessive arguing/yelling at an official over balls/strikes and calls on the field will result in them being removed from the complex
· If you approach an official or staff member off the field or off the property in a volatile and/or demeaning way, you will not be allowed to stay or back into the facility and face a 1-year suspension.
· A coach that is ejected twice will have to sit out their next event.
· A third ejection will warrant a possible one-year suspension from coaching USSSA.
· Any team caught using an illegal player ( a player that is playing in another division in the same tournament) will receive a one-tournament suspension.
· Coaches can file an appeal to be reinstated and come before the USSSA state board.
