Welcome to the Indiana USSSA Fastpitch Tournaments. Indiana USSSA is the leader for the largest events across the Great Lakes Region. Here are some things you will need to know for playing rules and park rules for playing in Indiana USSSA Tournaments.
Indiana USSSA mission statement:
We want to provide the best and fairest playing field for our teams that allows them to play in a competitive but fair enviroment. Our goals are to acheieve to be the best events in the country. Our office is always open to visit.
Players with any disabilities such as hearing, talking or seeing please let our staff know. We want to ensure our staff of this, so we can communicate with them so we can do everything we can to ensure the communication is made for the safety of all players.

Seating:
Indiana USSSA does not have the ability nor do their parks to do a seating chart. Spectators are responsible for where they sit. We recommend you do not sit in home run areas, foul balls areas, areas of overthrown balls or where teams warmup. Note that you are soley responsible for your safety attending any USSSA events.
Rosters:
All rosters must be on line prior to playing USSSA events;
Any teams using guest players , then they must be on line four hours prior to the start of the event.
Tournament rules:
All rules are goverern under USSSA rules.
Any rules not covered in the USSSA rules we will refer to the National Fedewation book for clarification.
Some events may have special rules for events and if so we will send out emails to coaches.
Run Rules:
12 after 3 inning of play
10 after four inings of play
8 after five innings of play.
(exception) 8U has no run rule after 3 innings.
Time limits:
Most all events will be 70 minute pool play games finish the innings.
Pool play may end in ties.
Bracket play is 70 minutes finish the innings must have a winner.
NIT events, State Tournament events and National events will have special time limits.
They are all 75 minute games following the same rules as if we were playing 70 minute games.
Seeding into brackets:
The USSSA data seeds teams to bracket play. What the website says is what we go by.
Home team:
Will always be deisgnated as the official scorebook. We recommend teams use a a book but game changer is approved.
We also recommend you sit by the area of where the homeplate umpire is, so they can confer with subs, time or any protests. We ask that home team writes down the start time of each game.
We recommend that you stay in contact during the game with the opposing teams scorekeepers.
In case of any issues the umpire has the right to designate the visiting team to become oficial book during th game.
Protest fees:
All protest fees are $100 cash money.
Protest must be done when play happens if a play occurs.
Judgments calls are not protestable.
Protest of rosters can happen anytime during the game.
If a team protest and wins the protest fees will be returned to the team.
If a team loses protest they will forfeit their fees.
Start time for games:
Games may start up to 15 minutes early after the first game of the day
Teams failure to comply may result in a forfeit being issued to your game. This is not up for discussion.
Each game will start with five warmup pitches, three pitches or one minute per inning after that.
After plate meeting games will start one minute from that.
Rain out infomation:
Indiana USSSA rain out line is 812-350-5129 we will not update anything until at least two hours prior to games times.
We will also send out email to both coaches and parents.
Teams can also use our usssa app.
Tournament director has the option and all rights to change the format of the event in case of inclement weather. The director can change but not limitedto amount of games played, time limits shorten, innings played shorten, losers brackets drop if using losers bracket.
Refund policies:
Three games played there will be no refund issued.
Two games played 25% refund issued
One game played 50% refund issued.
Indiana USSSA has a zero tolerance policy
At any time a coach is ejected they will sit the next game.
If ejected the last game of the tournament, then that coach will have to sit ut the first game of the next rournament.
We will report ejection of coaches to the tournament director of their next event if ejected the lst game.
Parents ejections
Any parent/spectator ejected from an event will be ejected for the remainder of that tournament.
If parent/spectator is ejected twicw durin th season, then they will be removed from attedning any USSSA events for the remainder of that season.
Park rules:
No parks allow pets, so please do not bring pets.
No smoking allowed or no use of tobacco products allowed. This includes vaping.
No RV parking in parking lots. RV's take up too much room.
If turf is being played on then no gum or sunflower seed of ay kind are allowed.
Anytime turf fields are used np metal clats allowed. Turf Shoes, tennis shoes and molded cleats allowed.
All Indiana USSSA events have gate fees:
Spectators will be issued an armband at the entry of the park when they pay. That armband must be worn at all times. If at anytime you lose that band you will have to buy anoher band. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Gate fees are for most all events are as follows. Special events such as Stae and Naionals may be moe.
Weekend fees: $25
Daily fees: $15
Seniors $15 senors only pay one fee. The band is a weekend band
Children 10 under are allowed in free.
Parents you are responsible for watching your children. Please do not leave them unattended.
Please do not allow children to be throwing balls in spectator areas. Injuries a have oocured to spectators.
Our goal is to keep everyone as safe as possible.
